About Brite Zhou
Brite Zhou is a classical pianist and dedicated music educator from the San Francisco Bay Area with over 10 years of experience teaching piano. He is trained in both Eastern and Western approaches to piano pedagogy and brings a thoughtful, encouraging, and student-centered approach to every lesson. In addition to teaching piano, Brite is an experienced music educator at a well-established bilingual immersion school, giving him a unique perspective on working with young learners and families.
Brite holds an M.A. in Music Education and a B.M. in Piano Performance from San Francisco State University, as well as a B.S. in Psychology from U.C. Davis. His teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that learning piano should be both purposeful and joyful. He is passionate about helping children and adults discover the rewarding experience of making music while developing confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts. To Brite, music is a powerful form of expressive language that allows us to communicate emotions, ideas, and experiences beyond words.
Brite is an active member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California and is committed to continued growth as a musician and educator. Outside of music, he is an avid food enthusiast who enjoys exploring the diverse culinary offerings of the Bay Area.
